Fooble — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

Fooble (“the app”, “we”) is a football score and schedule tracker. This policy explains what data the app processes, what stays on your device, and what is shared with the limited third-party services we rely on.

Summary

Fooble has no accounts and no sign-in, and does not sell your data. We run no first-party analytics. The app processes a small amount of data off-device only for the features you use: Google AdMob to display ads (both apps, with your permission where required), push notifications you opt into (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android, Apple Push Notification service on iOS), anonymous crash reports on Android (Firebase Crashlytics), and the optional Predictions game, which stores your picks under a random identifier. Each is described below.

Information stored on your device

The app saves a small set of preferences on your device so it can work the way you set it up: your selected language, country, favourite teams, time zone, and your theme and notification preferences. This is stored locally using the platform’s standard preferences storage (Android SharedPreferences / iOS UserDefaults) and we cannot see it. Uninstalling the app deletes it. The only preference-related data that leaves your device is the minimum needed to route the push notifications you enable (see “Notifications”) and the picks you submit in Predictions (see “Predictions & friend leagues”).

Network access

The app downloads publicly available match scores, schedules, standings, lineups and related football data from our own service at goal-pulse.com, which aggregates that public data from third-party providers (primarily API-Football, with football-data.org as a fallback). Our service does not require an account and the app does not send any of your preferences or device identifiers with these data requests. Like any web request, your device’s IP address is visible to the network in transit; our origin servers log only the request method, path, and timing — not IP addresses or any data that identifies you.

News

The News section shows football news headlines which our service at goal-pulse.com retrieves from a third-party news provider (NewsData.io) in your selected language. Your device only requests these headlines from goal-pulse.com — it does not call NewsData.io directly, and no personal information is sent. When you tap a headline, your device opens the original article on the publisher’s own website in your browser; that website is operated by a third party and is governed by its own privacy policy and terms. News is provided “as is”.

Notifications

Match alerts you see while the app is open are generated on your device. If you enable notification categories (for example goal alerts or match results), the app also uses a remote push service so alerts can reach you when the app is closed:

Disabling a notification category (or notifications entirely) stops its delivery, and push tokens for uninstalled apps are invalidated by Google/Apple and dropped by our service.

Predictions & friend leagues

The optional Predictions game works without an account. When you submit a pick, the app sends it to our service together with a random install identifier (a UUID generated on your device, not derived from you or your device’s hardware) and, if you join or create a friend league, the display name you type in. We store these to grade picks and show league leaderboards; league members can see your display name, points and record — so pick a name that doesn’t identify you if you prefer. Reinstalling the app creates a new identifier. To have your prediction data deleted, email us at the address below.

Analytics & diagnostics

Fooble runs no first-party analytics and does not track how you use the app. The Android app includes Google Firebase Crashlytics, which sends an anonymous report to Google when the app crashes (crash stack trace, device model, OS version and similar diagnostic details — no name, email or precise location) so we can find and fix bugs. The iOS app includes no crash-reporting SDK; Apple’s own opt-in crash sharing applies instead. The Google AdMob SDK may additionally collect limited ad-interaction, performance and diagnostic data to serve and measure ads, as described under “Advertising”.

Advertising

Both the iOS and Android apps display ads through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve and measure ads, AdMob may process your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, the resettable Advertising ID on Android), a coarse location derived from your IP address, and ad-interaction and device data. On iOS you are asked through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt; on both platforms a Google (UMP) consent message is shown where required. If you decline, you still see ads, but non-personalized ones. This data is processed by Google as described in Google’s advertising policies. You can turn ads off with the one-time Remove Ads purchase in the app.

Permissions

Children

Fooble is a general-audience football app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly request or collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app’s third-party services, contact us using the address below.

Data we process & your choices

Data deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored preferences; push tokens become invalid and are dropped, and a reinstall gets a fresh Predictions identifier. To limit or reset ad-related data you can reset your device’s advertising identifier and adjust ad personalization in your device settings, and manage data Google holds via your Google account and Google’s privacy tools. To have server-side Predictions data or an iOS push registration deleted on request, email us at the address below.

Third-party data sources

Match data is aggregated from third-party providers (primarily API-Football, with football-data.org as a fallback) and news headlines from NewsData.io, all provided “as is”. Fooble is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any football association, club, broadcaster, publisher, or data provider.
